Do you cover hip or elbow dysplasia in dogs?

For some larger breeds, hip or elbow dysplasia can unfortunately be quite common.
Dysplasia is a condition that we may be able to provide cover for, depending on the circumstances. If your pet has not shown signs or symptoms, received any treatment, medication or advice for dysplasia in the last 2 years, it would not be excluded from your policy with us.
However, if your pet has been seen by the vet regarding dysplasia in the last 2 years, this would be classed as a pre-existing condition and we are unable cover the condition on other elbows or hips for the first 12 months of your policy. You can find out more about how we approach cover for pre-existing conditions here. You can also learn about bilateral conditions here.
