Are there any breeds that you can't insure?

Dog Breeds

We are not able to cover dogs or cross-breed of dogs listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. The act considers Pit Bull Terriers, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino and Fila Brasileiro to be dangerous dogs. The act also considers dogs that appear similar to these dogs as dangerous dogs.

In addition, we do not cover Czech Wolfdogs, Saarloos Wolfhounds or other Wolf hybrids. However, our sister company, Exotic Direct, can provide insurance for these dogs. They can be reached on 0345 982 5505.
We also believe many dogs have been unfairly victimised by this Act. That’s why our sister company, Brooks Braithwaite (Sussex) Limited (underwritten by Allianz), provides public liability for exempted dogs. For more information about Brooks Braithwaite, please visit their website here. If you have questions or would like to chat to them over the phone, they can be reached on 0345 982 5499.
Cat Breeds
Unfortunately Bought By Many are not able to insure F1 generation Savannah cats. However, if you're looking for Public Liability cover for your F1 Savannah cat, Brooks Braithwaite can provide this for these cats (see above for their website and contact details). Furthermore Exotic direct can provide insurance for any non F1 generation Savannah cats (see above for their website and contact details).
