Why do you have a 14-day waiting period?

Our policies exist to provide our customers' pets with the right cover when their pet needs it most. Unfortunately, some customers aren't always purchasing with their pet's long term well-being in mind and only purchase insurance after their pet has become ill or had an accident. This fraud can lead to insurers increasing their prices, so the 14-day waiting period protects honest customers by preventing it. 

Insurance exists to provide financial support if unforeseen incidents happen and we are here to pay for claims using insurance as it was designed.

Unlike other insurers, if your pet becomes ill in the first 14 days you will have to pay for that first occurrence, but we will cover any further treatment for that condition once your waiting period has expired.
