Adding or Removing your pet online

It is now easier than ever to add or remove a pet from your policy. We have recently added this feature to the “My Account” area on our website. Below is a step-by-step guide to walk you through it!

Step-by-step guide – Adding a pet

  1. Once logged in to the website, click on the My Account drop down menu in the top right corner.
  2. On the drop down menu click the option “My Quotes and Policies”.
    1. You will now be on a page that shows all policies linked to your email address. It will display the policy numbers and the pets assigned to them.
  3. Click “View Policy” on the policy you want to add the new pet to.
  4. This will open a wider view of the policy on the next page. At the bottom there will be an “about” box with information on the current pet(s).
  5. To the right of the “About” section there is another box that states, “Receive 15% discount when you add another cat or dog to this policy”. – Click this to bring up the next page.
  6. On the next page you will see a form to add the details of your pet. This works in the same way a normal quote would do online. Once you have entered all the details for the new pet, click “Generate quote for new pet”.
  7. You will be shown the premium for the current pet including the excess option on the policy.
  8. After a few seconds, the new price will load and will be with the same excess applied.
  9. Click “Proceed” to move on to the Declarations page. Once read through, tick “I have read the terms and conditions and I am happy to proceed.”
  10. A screen will pop up saying “Success” and a new copy of your policy will be emailed out to you.

 

Step-by-step guide – Removing a pet

  1. Once logged in to the website, click on the My Account drop down menu in the top right corner.
  2. On the dropdown menu click the option “My Quotes and Policies”.
    1. You will now be on a page that shows all policies linked to your email address. It will display the policy numbers and the pets assigned to them.
  3. Click “View Policy” on the policy you want to add the new pet to.
  4. This will open a wider view of the policy on the next page. At the bottom there will be an “about” box with information on the current pet(s).
  5. Click “Remove Pet” on the pet you wish to take off the policy.
  6. A pop-up screen will appear displaying your new premium after the pet has been removed.
  7. If you are happy to proceed click “Remove *pet’s name*”.
  8. Another pop up will appear saying “Success” and that an updated policy document will be sent to your email.
